So I figured it is time that this server got it's own thread. Hoping that once we grow more we could have our own section.

First off I would like to thank the interest of the community on getting a FTB server. I have mentioned it in the past, but no one really seemed interested in it. My self and Zero tried to do our own world and a little lets play. But the lack of a real server and the time and schedule difference made that hard.

I would also like to invite people to come help in spawn. I know I have mentioned this on the other thread, but now its time we actually for to it and finished it up.

I would also like if I could get two maybe three other interested people to help admin/mod the server. My self and Judge can only do so much as we are only two people.

I want to get a list of things that we all think can be dangerous and or cause huge amounts of lag. I was thinking about setting up different titles and making it so only a select few can use these items. So far this is what I have come up with

Also I would like to get one of more people to start on an advertisement for the server. Something like we have used in the past to get people in. I was thinking we should also white-list the server and of course put the age limit on it (minus Claytonia trusted members).

I'm hoping to get this all done really soon, I have talked with Clay and the plugins are taking a bit longer to get to work with all the mods that the game come's with. I do not want to open it to the public without at the very least a protection plugin.

All other information on the server will be put on here and I will edit my post as I get the information.


ALL SUGGESTIONS are welcomed and will not be looked past. This will be as much of the communities server as it is mine.

As a matter of interest, if you give me perms/ access to ftp I'll help admin your server, aswell as keeping your stuff up to date and organising your perms setup

Is the white list going to be on the Normal, Join Clayonia app like RP and vanilla are? Or will there be a seperate Application for FTB?

While I may not be terribly familiar with FTB (If needed I would quickly familiarize myself) I am fairly adept with MC in general.

Well they also can be used for fast travel if someone wanted to raid someone else... I might make it so its a perk for a group. I know I like using them, they come in handy. Like I said, this is just what I have come across on the web, not everything on the list will be banned. I don't wanna be that kind of server that bans alllll things.

Why the arcaneworkbench, and canvas bag?

The list that I put up are just one's I have found online of other servers banning them. That is why I have asked you guy's to help me with a list, and no one has so I came across them.

Well I dont see much reason behind the arcaneworkbench its needed to craft many thaumcraft items. The portable hole from TC could be used to enter peoples bases that might need to go. Also the excavation tools from TC I dont see why they need a ban like the workbench. Hope monazit ore isn't banned needed to make forcefields which can actually prevent grief. The scepters of twilight forest and the safari nets are banned for greifing people with creepers or something but I also want to keep these for MFR spawners and for summoning minions.

As for everything else I can see why they should not be on servers.
Maybe make portal guns a perk for donators maybe?

I'm talking with Clay right now. If he can get the right plugins to work. I really do not see banning anything. As long as I/we can protect our stuff.

Me as an admin will have to keep a close eye on people's creations. The one's that cause lag. But I am hoping that will not be an issue.

Bans are an inherent part of running a long term server.. Regardless of precautions, some people just can't help it

Its quite easy to identify a laggy area and the cause of it even without specifically close monitoring... What plugins arent working out?

Right now nothing he has tried will work. McPc Plus and Bukkitfordge will not work. They install and then wont work.

Well since the plugins are taking longer to get installed and the spawn wont be finishing the spawn till there is protection.

Sadly I have to say this server is a no go. The plugins didn't work and we couldn't get them to work. The server is no longer. I am looking into some other types of server's to start up. Sorry for this.

I believe it to be a good idea. Main Emerson the old one failed is I stopped advertising, and also some of our members under 18 weren't the best. If we advertise and have it for only 18+ and trusted Claytonians, it will work.
