Does anyone have any idea what might be going on or experienced this?

Text looks garbled, and sometimes just doesn't show up.  Links either look like normal text when I drag the cursor over them, or just don't appear.  Everything works just fine in explorer*.

Its not limited to claytonia.  It seems to be related to forum based sites, as its even worse on imdb.

not even sure.. you tried uninstalling it completely, including all user settings and such, then reinstalling?

[/rephrase] "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

But, oddly enough, it's not happening to me. I've got chrome, and the same theme as you (the default Claytonia lol)
Maybe you messed with your personal text settings?
I did that once, and some of the sites were stubborn enough to fight the settings, producing results similar to yours.

Hehe. Does someone watch I.T. crowd?  And thanks, I'll check out my text settings next.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled chrome.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  I might be doomed to run explorer....

*groans* IE, the bane of computer engineers and users alike.
I'm forced to use the blasted hunk of mismatched coding and frayed wiring at work.
Ironically, the sites and online programs we have no choice in using only work with IE; ironic that ANYTHING works with it XD

But, yea. If chrome is buggering up, Firefox would be a much better alternative than IE.

Ya, I'm pretty out of ideas (even if they aren't my ideas).  Firefox seems to be working just fine though.  I really appreciate all the help everyone!!
