I've started building my new home in the 1.7 area and wanted to see what people think about it and the direction i am going. Judge helped me build the main entrance area we think it looks pretty nice. It's obviously a work in progress and ill keep it updated as i go along. Any ideas or criticism  is appreciated

Looks good Quinn, I like the slab,log combo for the floor but I dont really care for the netherbrick/ quartz combo in the ceiling, it doesnt seem to fit with the rest of the build.

What would you suggest for the ceiling material? I think there needs to be some quarts to keep it from being so woody and dark, but what would you use instead of the nether brick?

hmm...maybe stone bricks to go with the border running along your walls?

the new acacia wood is a good roof material. it's still a little bit red, but not as the funky red from the nether brick

I'm having trouble deciding what floor will look best in the new lower part of my home. so i chose a few to look at but if you have more ideas let me know !

Heres a few things ive been doing since the last post



I built a trophy room for some of the things ive accomplished on the server






This witch farm has turned into



This... many thousand halfslabs over quite a wide area

And all these maps got deleted due to too many players making maps on the server

I just completed my potion room and i think it turned out really nice. I have almost every potion in the game semi automated. Let me know what you think

The smeltables, iron and gold I think i got 2 stacks of gold and 8 stacks of iron that were not shown. This was quite the haul. All in all i think this took a couple hours with a haste 2 beacon and eff 5 silk touch pick. Gotta do this more often.
