It was like any other tycoon game (railroad, mall, roller coaster) with the theme of build something and make money off it.  Dinosaur Tycoon was a game where you'd build a zoo with dinosaur inhabitants.  You'd have to make sure to have the proper fences for the proper beast so they don't eat the guests and whatnot.  It was a blast, and now I can't find it....
