What you are good at IRL: i was in a band for 5 ish years. I play the guitar.  ummmm, i like to draw, paint mini figurines for D&D, i like to fix things and figure out how things work.
Type of music you like: Iike metal. Not baby metal, but real, mind-blowing metal.  I also like a lot of classic rock, blues, hell even bluegrass.

Haven't played since a few years after they switched to the d20 system, but still some of my fondest memories... The best way to learn to play is find a group that already does.  Tabletop rpgers are almost always willing to help new players, lend books, teach mechanics, the works.  Really, if you can find a group, don't be afraid to just jump right in, it's the best way to learn and a lot of fun.  And be prepared for marathon sessions... we always used to play 8, 10, sometimes 16 hours straight (with plenty of smoke breaks and lots of drinking in my old group).  The only thing to watch out for is petty GM's, but I've been pretty lucky in that regard.  Well, that and if you do like it, it can be an expensive habit, lots of books to buy, and even more dice.

AD&D 2nd edition of course   Used to play the various whitewolf games as well, but that was mostly LARPing  with a larger group (not the foam swords kind), some shadowrun, and various others we tried out over the years...  I moved away from my old group too, just haven't found the time to go looking for a new one.  Video games ended up replacing my d&d time, for better or worse.

We used to play once a week, and everyone planned on it being an all nighter, basicaly just played til we were having trouble rolling the dice, and our GM would find a stopping point.  So many times, it was "just one more round"... Thankfully we had a couple of non-drinkers, so we always had a d-driver.  Good times.

Welcome! Im Me. I play minecraft rarely, im just kinda here. i used to D&D with my friends but they all left, and they were still teaching me. To anyone else who reads it, ya gotta try it sometime!
