What are your favorite sayings, quotes, motifs, or cliches?
Perhaps lyrics or philosophical works. Whatever. We can even discuss significance and feelings behind the quotes.

Right now I'm really loving the third soliloquy from Hamlet, famously known as To Be or Not to Be

I knew where that was from, but Clay beat me to it! lol

It's not really "soft", in my opinion. It's a rhetorical question; to be or not to be? Should I live or die?
Is it better to just be dead and escape the endless suffering of humanity?
"...and by a sleep[death], to say we end
The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks
That Flesh is heir to?..."

Hamlet also questions why are humans afraid of death.. the simple answer is; we don't know what is beyond death. Is there an afterlife? A paradise? Or just an eternal realm of darkness and lack of feeling.

That post reminded me of my theatre class I was forced to take in college. I hated that class. Lol
