Stephen Hawking recently said in an interview (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/05/05/stephen-hawkings-ominous-warning-about-robots/) that the threat of artificial intelligence from the future of robotics is a very real possibility if we're not careful.  However, he also stated that, as long as we take the right precautions, AI can bring about amazing benefits.

The possibilities are endless! What do you guys think?

I think it seems about as useful as Siri.

And it might be.
The trick will be how well they develop the "Learning Algorithms."

Siri was useless for several reason, but the largest one I can agree with is that, siri only listens for specific words and phrases, and if what you say is not registered then she has no idea what the hell your saying. Now with the understanding that most commercials such as this, they are showing the actual product but more of on steroids then what we will actually receive, if this is anything like what they are actually saying, then it actually learns from what you say and how you say it, and in doing so, is true AI unlike the waist of time and effort that came out to be Siri. Since this has not actually came out and all we have to work on is what the developer is saying so that she can make money off of us, we can not make a true judgment of it, such as "Useful as Siri." I for one would love to have one to try it out. AI is something that always interested me. This is also how I felt about the Siri commercials that ran back when she came out on iphone. Siri is an absolute waist of money! I will never again get an iphone, for other reasons, and there for will never have to deal with her again, Thank the heavens.

I love my iPhone and rarely ever use Siri. iPhone's are not just Siri you know. On the note of Jibo, I still think it's useless. It can't do anything physical, therefore is a waste of money.

As I said before, Zito, I do not like Iphones for many different reasons, siri is just one of them.

I'm unimpressed.

Tesla is more helpful than that thing.

This. Although if Tesla is anything like my Cat, he's probably very helpful. Always wants to be a part of whatever you're doing at the time :P.

I suppose it was a sleight to ijibo as well as a compliment to nonrobotic animals.
