Its becoming increasingly hard to attract mature-age players to a vanilla minecraft server, for which reason I'm not entirely sure

I was hoping that 1.8 would bring a new rush of people, but all these issues with bukkit shutting down has put a huge stall in not only our vanilla community, but many others aswell

Vanilla especially needs more people supporting the recruitment of new players

1.8 and no bukkit to support it is killing the server. IF bukkit ever updates it might catch on again. until then bump this thread daily.
