tinychat or google hangout is the way to go
if you have never used google hangouts, use it once and you will never use skype again.
we use tinychat more often BC it requires no plugin download like hangouts does.

It's because of their business structure. It's very efficient. And the fact that people don't search the internet for things, they Google it.
