Just some weird things that i have found mobs doing, a giant cactus, and a glitch with rails.

That's pretty common, mobs spawn on any opaque block with a sufficient light level.

The chickens morphing through the blocks is just your end. On the server they are actually in perfect position, but sometimes your end doesn't quite match up with the server's version so it ends up a little askew.

The cactus looks interesting.. but you can just place cactus blocks on top of each other like any other block to achieve this...
