Today I logged on to claytonia to gather some materials to continue my build. I have had an irongolem for some time but i just recently acquired some villagers. As i was strolling past i noticed the the golem had its arm out stretched to one of the villagers. at first i thought mabye it was a zombie, but then i realized the golem was offering it a rose.
I'm curious to see who else knows or has an idea of where the rose thing came from. Do you know?

I have no idea but it sounds interesting

Well, I know that Iron Golems were designed to protect the villagers from zombies. Interestingly enough, Iron Golems drop a rose when they die... Maybe it was just showing friendship or something?

Nice guess, Zito. The actual origin of the Iron Golem is one noone expects. When they wanted something to protect the villagers from attacks, They set one guy to design the creature. It just so happens that the guy was a major fan of an anime movie, called Lapuda: Castle in the sky, In the said movie a robot hands a young girl a flower. The characters later discuss the fact the the robot protected and was friends with all of the creature that inhabited the castle, so being the last robot alive, he was actually alone.
The iron golem is both designed after the robot and is to mimic it. hence the flower to villagers.

Wow, that's awesome. It's always good to know trivia and origins of the mobs. Thanks for the small lesson!
