I would like to start a new event in the near future where players have a set amount of time to build the coolest underwater structure while in survival mode. At the end of the event all builds would be posted the the forums and the coolest structure would get a prize.

Questions:
How long should players have to do the build?
How should we judge the builds?
Where on the map can we do this or should I make a whole new map?
What should the winner get?
Should it be a team(2 players per build) or solo build?

I say;
Give the players ONE week (perhaps Friday - Friday or Saturday - Saturday) and open up two competitions: one for teams of 2 and one for solo. We have a lot of ocean space on our server, and I don't believe we can use up too much of it in a week, hopefully. Don't know about judging yet. The winner should receive some in-game money and diamonds. Perhaps we can make tiered winnings (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc...)

I think there's a enough ocean space to effectively hold a contest...which btw shouldn't be TOO long or else the builds will take up too much space.  So like a few hours maybe, with that said there's not enough people to make a short set time like that for a build contest.

I know this post is old, I've been thinking of this and wondering how does one get the ware out of the house?
