Aila watched as the, who she deemed useless earlier, elf failed to create a distraction and create a rather interesting smell within the area. "Next time I'll plan better on my escape..." she thought to herself. To her surprise though, possibly from the putrid smell, the wolf turn to Zeeto and charged. Her eyes opened wide as she proceeded to watch the elf slide under the beast and suddenly show up next to her. Re-thinking her thoughts, this had to be on purpose. No one has that much luck. Perhaps the elf deserved a point back from his comment earlier.

She didn't feel to bad for starting this encounter though, it seemed as though it was going to attack at some point anyway. At least this way the party was slightly aware, despite her blunder. Aila retreated to the tree she had picked earlier and stared at the wolf, it being in the open rather than a bush, it was easy to view every inch of it. That is to say, seeing something abnormal on a giant wolf wouldn't be easy. Maybe there would be a way to end this fight without killing it... The female member of the party seemed averse to hurting it as she charged out of the alchemist house into the fray.

Back in the spirit world once more. My goodness. Arya had never used the spirit world for practical purposes so much in one day. Now let's see. Where is this-
HOLY MOTHER OF ARACH WHAT IS THAT THING?
Arya, turning to where the beast was in the overworld, is met with the terrible vision of a soul darker than the void of space itself. Smoke and tendrils whip and lash out of- of whatever it is like snakes writhing on hot coals. Whatever it is, it looks nothing like Mayar. It is twice as large with grotesque spikes protruding out of its back like sharp ribs that have stabbed their way out of the creature's insides. Its head shape gives the hint of reptilian origins and, though the smoke and tendrils obscure the surface, Arya thinks she can make out the faint impression of scales. At the ends of its feet are talons twisted and distorted in ways that would make walking painful in the overworld.
What IS that thing? Arya has never seen anything like it before neither in the world of the living nor dead. She has never seen a soul not match with its overworld counterpart or a spirit blacker than her own hair.  This soul emanated fear in pulsating waves. It was the manifestation of fear itself and the longer she stares at it, the more the feeling seeps into her. Mayar has his ears flattened and is sticking close to Arya. The spirit notices the pair. A coldness starts in her feet and crawls up her ankles as tendrils start reaching towards her. Arya hears a piercing scream horrified enough to shred paper with its sound, and she realizes with a start that she is hearing herself as she is sprinting away from the beast.
She calls Mayar to her and tumbles back into the overworld. "GET AWAY FROM THAT THING!" she screams with a hoarse voice in pure raw terror. "That's not a wolf!" Focused by her fear, she strings an arrow and shoots at the "wolf" in record time.

Aila was safe behind the tree, from the wolf, and the smell. The grace at which she tactically retreated behind the tree more than made up for her blunder earlier. She could feel confident in her abilities as a rogue again. Unfortunately during her graceful movements, she never really got a good look at the wolf. Peeking out from her hiding spot behind the tree, Aila eyed the wolf up and down in absolute scrutiny. Something was odd, and from the way the female started shooting and exclaiming that it wasn't a wolf, there was clearly something different about the beast.

[blockquote]Rolled 1d20 : 3, total 3[/blockquote]

After looking up and down the beast, she turned her attention back towards the bush. It was nearly flattened from the beasts emergence. Perhaps something there caused the beast to grow? Or even turn this violent? She thought back to what she had thrown, honestly she didn't toss it hard enough to hurt it. The original plan was to see some sort of squirrel running out of the bush, steal an acorn and take off. Who really expects a giant wolf to bound out and try to eat you? She stared at the bush hard before returning back behind her tree.

[blockquote]Rolled 1d20 : 15, total 15[/blockquote]

She took to one knee as she thought through what she saw, pulling out her bow in the mean time. She could figured out what was weird, but it'll probably still have to be taken down. Of the few things she was sure of, being near the wolf was not one of the things she wanted to be. She'd seen enough of it's teeth today.

The instant Arya let loose her arrow, a skittering chill run up her spine. The wave of terror emanating from the Thing must have caught up to her in the spirit realm. Her spirit was still there after all and she seemed to have picked up its curiosities being of flesh outside of the overworld.  Fear seeps through her mental stability like poison in her veins, shutting down the use of her shoulders, then arms and legs, all the way to her hands and feet. She is paralyzed and suffocating in her own horror ridden mind. Fear seizes her lungs and Arya falls backwards.

She feels like she is falling much farther than the ground, going through it and is now floating through darkness down a rabbit hole. A ghostly figure comes out of the darkness, seeming to be human but definitely not a live one. His skin has the faint tint of sea-sick green and his entire body appears as if he were made of vapors. An armature at fantastical beast would call it a vampire. Experts would know otherwise that this undead sucked not blood but spirits out of the living.

Unconsciously, Arya notices the area around her has shifted to a shadowy forest with twisted, knotted trees. She doesn't notice she's standing up and that her feet can feel ground. All she can feel is a muted searing in her chest as if her insides had turned to lava frothing inside of her, but she had lost the ability to feel. The figure is in front of her- a nachzehrer if she remembered her grandfather's stories correctly, and a white glow seems to be tearing itself from her chest and flowing into the mouth of the sharp-toothed demon spawn. Whatever she tries, the human's body will not listen to her. She remains frozen with her arms outstretched and her chest exposed to the monster.

Movement catches Arya's eye. It is a wolf, not unlike the one her party is facing in... wherever this place was not. This sight sets off a spark in her mind. She's seen this before.  At this realization, the pain stops completely, and while the visualization does not falter, Arya begins to take control of her fear. This scene is one from her memory, one she tried very hard to forget. Or not to forget. Never to forget. Only to stop thinking about it, which is essentially the same thing.

If Arya's memory served her right, the wolf should pounce the monster and be caught in the crossfire of Arya's soul being ripped out of her body. The wolf's soul will begin to be sucked out as well and the two souls will meet for the first time. Arya, in current time, sees this being played out. The leap of the wolf knocks Arya flat on her back and away from the monster. The human gazes at the leaves of the twisted trees, dazed on her back. When she gets up, all she sees is the dead body of Mayar in an empty clearing of the forest. In mental exhaustion, she falls back on her back...

...and wakes up in the overworld with a sore on her butt from falling on the ground. It appear the girl never left the overworld at all. Was this Thing playing mind tricks on her or was the memory she herself pulled up in the memory of fear? Blinking rapidly to re accustom herself to true vision, she sees the wolf at a stand off with her party. Though still shaken, she knows she has to help them, especially since this Thing has such a grip over Arya's (and presumably all other creature's) fear.

Mayar sprints to the Thing and attempts to jump into its eyes and blind it with his light. As he does so, Arya reaches into her quiver with quivering hands and draws an arrow. She steels her mind and her movement, steadying herself and aiming carefully before firing once again at the beast.

Aila peaked around the tree again and watched as Zeeto blocked swing after swing of the large canine. She had definitely underestimated this elf, something she'll note for future reference. Even if he was doing successful now though, eventually the wolf would get lucky and things would turn for the south. The wolf had a tough hide, a simple arrow fired at it wouldn't do much. She watched the barrage of blocked blows from the wolf end and as it began to back off, Aila took aim. She was aiming for the face, although the wolf didn't noticed her, she had a clear view of it's face. From the nose, to the eyes, or even down the mouth, it'd hurt. She let the arrow fly. The though suddenly hit her as she released her fingers, to late to stop the arrow. "Well, on the bright side, at least I'll hit something. From bouncing off the wolf to hurting the wolf... or possibly an elf, at least my accuracy rating will be perfect..." she mumbled to herself.

Mayar too was saddened at the destruction of the innocent wolf. He walks to its body and makes the motion of nudging it with its nose despite the fact that his whole glowing body would just pass through anything in this world. He then lies down next to the pile of skin and organs in a form of wolf mourning.

Lanor, weary of what Kirito had just said Aims his Bow straight at him loading an arrow into the knock at the same time.
What do you mean you were with those two, Do you know what they did? You better start answering some questions boy! as he says this he starts to pull back the string of his bow tighter and the arrow starts to glow a dim blue color.  He is just as surprised as anyone.

Side Note: I was hoping this could perhaps be something to do with a new feat? Blind Fire, Hopefully this could be able to temporarily blind a target as the bright blue light would be concentrated at the enemy? Tell me what you think furry.

Also i haven't rolled because i am not doing an action so much as just progressing the story by asking Kirito what it is he wants if he has come from the devil cats

S'kavara picks up the small cat, and places him on his shoulder. Leaving what little remains of the roasted pig, where it sits. "Yet again, you naturally assume we are here to attack." He begins to walk towards the large group of people

Not leaving her mental preparedness to whip out her weapon, Arya demands, "State your purpose quickly, panther. My party members are quick to strike." She means it too. After witnessing things being chucked into moving bushes, a rogue shot at the sight of these two is quite possible. If these kitties aren't looking for a fight, what are they looking for? While she didn't trust these furballs, she does recognize they don't have to kill each other. Perhaps in speaking they could let some information slip.
I should come up with a clever signature... eh I'll do it later.
