If you've never heard of the heroes of might and magic, and you enjoy turn based strategy/city building games, please check it out.   There's a handful of titles under the franchise, but it really reached its pinnacle at the third installment.   Its a bit old, and the graphics aren't anything special (although soundtrack is awesome), so it doesn't require a high performance computer.  It's $15 on steam, or $10 for the base game + expansions on GOG.  I have it on steam, but plan on buying the GOG version in a couple of weeks.

Likewise, Tslat.  There's no two games I played more in elementary and junior high school than heroes 1 & 2.  The third one is just the best.
