I have been thinking of adding a server to Claytonia with a completely different game mode. I'm not sure if this will ever happen but I have been tossing around the idea lately.

So if I did make another Claytonia server what type of game play would you like to play?

If it can be done I would figure it out. However I was thinking of making a new server to get more popularity for Claytonia and I'm not sure that a SCBB server would be all that popular.    I think that if I started a new server with the Claytonia name it might have some overflow into the existing server.

With Economy, is that just so you can Buy and sell things on the server easily because surely we could add that to a Server like Tekkit, or Vanilla, or Whatever is finally picked

An economy server has a full suit of economy features including jobs and full scale shops.
I have never played on an economy server but it seems like it would be the most fun to administer.

I was bored today after everyone got offline (and today was payday  ) so I ended up buying another server to add to Claytonia. I am not at all sure what I will be doing with the server , this poll will help me decide. I welcome all ideas on what should become of this server, until then I will be using it to test all kinds of new plugins and ideas. I have found some really cool options for editing the maps and how they are generated and these new options are what I will be testing for now.

I do not have a plan for the type of server this new server will be but I do have big plans on how I want the world to look. I was informed of a awesome plugin last night called Terrain Control. Below is a video on what it can do if programmed correctly.

This plugin is CRAZY ADVANCED! It will take the the better part of next week to get it working the way I want it to.

All of the trees you see in the video are hand made, you just tell the plugin to use the schematic of your trees instead of minecraft default trees. You can also use your own schematics to replace villages and just about everything else in the world.

After I get the plugin configured I will need to start creating the schematics for the trees. I will need to do 4 versions of each tree and cactus along with some bushes and palm trees(just about any type of tree you can think of).

If anyone would like to help with this new epic world's creation I beg you to download and install the program to make schematics and make some AMAZING looking trees.

im super excited too, i cant wait to get off work and start playing around with this world maker.
If your up to it look up the BOB program and try your hand at making some awesome trees.
you could also make them in game and i will find a way to convert them and make them apart of the new world.

I am also really excited, and i am astounded at how quickly this community has evolved, starting off as just an idea and now we have loads of Players, i think that the Server will bring in even more players, and maybe one day we will be a youtube community aswell

Obviously only kidding but i do thing we need to branch off into that direction at the same time, we all are friends on the server and if we could record some of the things we do and youtube them it would be amazing, someone gets some lets plays going and lets builds, and maybe some Redstone tutorials mz .

I love being part of the community and i would like to thank Clay for all the hard work he puts in, after one month of hosting i can now understand how hard it must be for him, so thanks Clay for this server and the new one, and for all the stuff you do for the server

Well i don't know if this is possible but if it is it would be cool could you make it so you had Stalagmites and Stalachtites in Caves

tekkit seems to be winning in the poll. I have started looking into the tech side of running a tekkit server.
The big issue with running a tekkit server is that we need a minimum of 4gb to run a public tekkit server.
4gb is around $40 a month
I happily paid for the first Claytonia server but I will be relying on donations to pay for the tekkit server.
When the Claytonia donation pay pal account reaches $120 I will turn the new server into a tekkit server. This will give us 3 months to raise another $120

its only running on 1.5gb so its not ready to go public yet(only 5ppl or less at a time to avoid lag)  but everyone who can read this post is welcome to join.
i will be working on the permissions and what not to allow in the game tomorrow.
I will be resetting the map once i get all the permissions and black-list set up so dont build too much crazy stuff.
I need every ones help with the black list in tekkit

Because apparently all games hate macs, which now includes minecraft. .

Technically, it's because the new tekkit runs on java 7 and my OS is incompatible with java 7 even though its only two years old. I would have to upgrade to the mountain lion OS to run java 7. Which would cost me money, but more importantly that OS has bad reviews and bugs, while the OS I'm running has no problems at all.

So yeah, no more tekkit for me for now.

I would say the new tekkit is a good idea but it is also very difficult to run with all the portals to new places and stuff, i tried to tun it on mine and it needed something like 1.2 as soon as i started it up

Also Mz have you tried running 2 different operating systems on the same computer, atm i use Windows 8 and Windows XP because Microsoft works better on XP but gaming works better on Windows 8, all it requires is a cheap secondary tower. might not work with Macs though

I have a few more minor things to figure out. As long as everyone behaves themselves and doesn't blow the hell out of the map the map that is now loaded will be the map from now on.

Do to the small amount of ram it has I have decide to run the server as a White-Listed server.
I do have the block logger on and anyone caught griefing the map, or other peoples builds, will be ban from both servers.

Please take note that we are running the newest tekkit and it has only been active for a few months now. The builders of tekkit are still working out all the kinks in the mods. The server will be up and running but WILL experience some set backs as the tekkit people continue to figure everything out.
