Aoe2 is on sale on steam for $10 ans the bundle 4 pack is only $30. I lived this game years ago and I recommend it to all of you. I can see a lot of us playing it in the future so grab a copy while its cheap!

I love all things AoE except for aoe III I just pretend like that never happened but Age of Empires happened to be my first PC game along with roller coaster tycoon.
I remember I bought the gold edition twice because I kept losing them when ever I moved. I never got online support way back then but I had fun just beating the campaign and building custom maps.

Still remember the soundtracks that were so simple and catchy and it went well with the game sound effects and textures was such a euphoric game for me back then.
I especially liked Age of Mythology GOOD story decent graphics and game play and get to bash people with mythological creatures and god powers, I also loss disc 1 for this game as well looks like I have to replace AoM at gamestop for the third time....

For that Age of Mythology game, is it the Greek gods?

You have the Greek, Egyptians, Norse and in the expansion pack Atlantean. Instead of ages you worship different gods which will provide the bonuses and one god power each time. The game adds a new resource which I think is called Favor and each race has different ways of obtaining it Norse get it from fighting, Egyptian building monuments, Greek building and selecting units to worship at a temple and Atlantean I think just get it passively from their town centers.

Age of Mythology is a classic. My all time favourite strategy game and more importantly it's the one that made me a gamer. It's flawless for its time, and still an amazing game now. The only flaw is that the AI was not good enough at those times to have it as a legitimate AI- basically, harder difficulties just make the computer cheat more and make about 10 of something instantly. I was actually playing it a few minutes ago.

Age of empires 2? That's funny. You'll never guess what disk I just spotted unboxed on my desk underneath a pile of crap.
