These are the base rules for the Human race:

• Humans can only build in areas without trees (they may place them for
  decoration but you must remove all trees from an area to build
  on it)
• Humans can use most weapons except tinkers bows, rapiers and cleavers
• They cant craft grenades
• Humans can't make non-vanilla bows, but they can use them, except for tinker's construct bows
• Humans can't build or use a Tinkers Construct smeltery
• Humans have an affinity with the arcane as such they can use magic
• Humans seam to have a knack for combining their magic, weapons, armor, and tools as such they are the only race that can enchant
• Humans can not use tinkers construct hammers
• Humans can eat anything they can physically consume
• Humans can't brew potions
• Humans may use firearms such as revolvers and crossbows
